School Awards

Below are details of awards and achievements our school has been recognised for over the last few years....




We are proud to be a Bike It, ‘Gold’ awarded school. As well as tackling vital issues such as cycle training, storage, travel plans and parental involvement, our Bike It officer, Mrs Cook-Abbott, provides practical experience of cycling with many different kinds of events and activities – including tailored lessons linked to the national curriculum.




The ICT Mark recognises schools using technology to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency across all aspects of school life, including pupil assessment, teaching and learning, the development of staff, leadership and management. The ICT Mark is awarded to schools after they complete an assessment process, which includes completing Becta’s self-review framework and an assessment by a Becta accredited assessor.






We want all children and young people to be healthy and achieve at school and in life. We believe that by providing opportunities at school for enhancing emotional and physical aspects of health, in the longer term will lead to improved health, reduced health inequalities, increased social inclusion and raise achievement for all.




Sport England is the government agency responsible for building the foundations of sporting success. By creating a world-leading community sport environment of clubs, coaches, facilities and volunteers. They want to create a vibrant sporting culture with focus around three outcomes – growing and sustaining the numbers of people taking part in sport and improving talent development to help more people excel. They invest expertise, resources and both government and Lottery money into community sport.



Basic Skills Agency (BSA) is a small, independent organisation, funded by the Department for Education and Skills. The Quality Mark Award is in recognition of our continuing commitment to ensure children and adults have basic skills in numeracy, literacy and ICT.




We have achieved ‘Green Flag’ status this year. This is the highest award achievable. Eco-Schools is managed in England by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy. It is an international awarded programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey. Their aim is to address a variety of environmental themes, ranging from litter and waste to healthy living and biodiversity.
