How we support children at Warren Mead Junior School:
We hope that the following information and documents will provide you with an outline of the additional support available at Warren Mead Schools. If you would like further information or have any questions with regards to SEN provision please contact Mrs Anne Gibbard (SENCo) - email@example.com
What are special educational needs?
A child has special educational needs (SEN) if they require provision to be made which is ‘additional to or different from’ that provided for the majority.
At Warren Mead, we recognise our duties, as stated in the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice. The Code of Practice provides statutory guidance on duties, policies and procedures relating to Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014 and associated regulations. It relates to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and disabled children and young people.
As part of the National Special Educational Needs Reform, local authorities are required to publish a ‘local offer’ which is intended to provide information about provision available to children with special educational needs in the local area. At Warren Mead Schools we are proud of our inclusive practice and what we can offer to all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Please read the information below which gives details of our SEND provision. Follow the link www.surreylocaloffer.org.uk for further information on what is available across the county of Surrey.
