GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Governors Bios

- (Chair of Governors)

Andrew Jennings (Vice Chair of Governors)
I am a retired Chartered Accountant who specialised in Risk Management .  I have held a number of positions as Treasurer of various charities/sports clubs.  I am currently Chairman of the Resources Committee at Epsom Methodist Church, I co-run a large Charity book fair, I co-own a Blues music record label, I am an active squash player, I enjoy travel to places that tourists do not normally visit (e.g Sudan, Pakistan etc).
As a Governor at Warren Mead schools I am responsible for Safeguarding.  I am married with three children and three grandchildren.

- (Community Governor)

Reverend Alex Williams (Community Governor)
My name is Alex Williams and I am the  Vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Burgh Heath and St. Paul’s Church, Nork (which is round the corner from Warren Mead Infant and Junior Schools). I joined the Governing Body of Warren Mead Infant and Junior schools in June 2019.
Before going into church leadership, I was a primary school teacher for 12 years in several different London schools. I absolutely loved this; and in particular forming links with the local community so we could all work together to best benefit the children and their families.

Oliver Bone (Parent Governor)
My name is Oliver Bone and I am the recently appointed Parent Governor for Warren Mead’s SSB. I live locally to the school, in Banstead and am the proud father of Imogen (year 2) and Isaac (year 5).
After being part of the fabulous PFA for the last 5 years and seeing what a positive impact that has had on our children and the school, I wanted to take my involvement and support of the school to the next level and volunteer as a governor.
During the day, I lead a European pharmaceutical research sales team and am a global board member, and I hope to bring the skills that I have developed during my career, to the school.
